Watchlist workflow

A drug shortage watchlist that checks public records for you.

Use watch terms your team already tracks: drug names, manufacturer names, NDCs, therapeutic categories, or shortage terms. FormularySignal checks public FDA/openFDA records and sends matching alerts with source context.

Watch terms

Start with terms your team already searches manually. The Watchlist plan supports up to 25 watch terms.

Daily checks

Scheduled public-source checks compare the current snapshot with saved history so a manual page check is not the operating control.

Signal Cards

Matched terms are packaged with timestamps, source links, and export formats for internal review.

Good watchlist examples

Carboplatin, cisplatin, lidocaine, dexmedetomidine, sterile injectable, anesthesia, oncology, sodium chloride, or a manufacturer name your organization already monitors. Do not enter patient names, MRNs, dates of birth, prescription numbers, diagnoses, addresses, or other PHI.

FormularySignal is not clinical, procurement, purchasing, sourcing, substitution, compounding, dispensing, inventory, local-availability, or legal advice. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by FDA.
